Meet Nikki

Nikki Lee has been a licensed psychotherapist for over 18 years. A native New Orleanian, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of New Orleans before moving on to earn a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She went on to serve at a non-profit, school-based agency as an outpatient mental health professional in the Arkansas Delta and in central Arkansas for seven years before returning to Louisiana to pursue her dream of founding a private practice. She has earned the distinction of being a Louisiana State Board Approved Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a National Certified Counselor which she utilizes to facilitate an ethical learning environment for up-and-coming pre-licensed clinicians. This is Nikki's passion and she enjoys witnessing the counseling profession grow through the eyes of her eager supervisees. She is a graduate of Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business program and a member of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce. Currently, she is a Doctorate candidate in Psychology (PsyDc) studying Human and Organizational Psychology at Touro University Worldwide working to create best practices for improving health insurance literacy among the public.

Nikki utilizes a therapy approach that is solution-focused and person-centered under the systemic model that individualizes sessions to the client's unique needs and goals. Her specialty is in working with couples from all walks of life to promote thriving and healthy relationships among romantic partners as well as family members. She is advance trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is helpful in assisting people through experienced traumas, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps people sort through emotional challenges. Nikki is also trained in Family and Divorce Mediation, aiding in her ability to be fair and impartial to all parties involved in conflict while finding the best possible solution to issues and problems. She has a certification as a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider (CIMHP) which allows her to treat emotional troubles through nutritional habits. She is an Adjunct Professor at California Lutheran University in the Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program.

Nikki's goal with Solace Château is to promote quality mental health services for the community that are easily accessible and to provide strong professional support to pre-licensed clinicians for their career development.
